Campaign

Kansrijk Kind calls attention to children growing up below the poverty line. The campaign is an initiative of CZ-N in cooperation with the Children of the Food Bank Foundation, Children's Party Foundation and Holiday Bank Foundation. It not only seeks to focus attention on these children, but also shows parents with financial concerns where to turn. After all, every child deserves a chance, and things like new clothes, a fun birthday or going on vacation are not always a given. Through the support of Foundation Children of the Food Bank, Foundation Children's Party and Foundation the Holiday Bank, these children can also have a chance and be carefree. I would therefore ask you to read on to discover what these foundations do.

Children of the Food Bank Foundation

The Foundation Children of the Food Bank is the only foundation in the Netherlands that offers clothing packages with new clothes, new shoes and some nice gifts. That these items are new is a conscious choice. This is because children growing up below the poverty line often wear used clothing. This can lead to teasing, bullying and low self-esteem. Giving new clothing to these children can prevent these problems. It is an investment in the future, as this boost will benefit a child throughout his or her life. In addition to clothing packages, the foundation offers birthday packages. After all, whoever has a birthday, shares! And that is difficult for children who come from a family with few financial resources. Let alone organizing a children's party... These children therefore often call in sick and let their birthday pass by. The birthday packages ensure that these children can celebrate their birthday. The package contains enough material to hand out at school and to celebrate a party with 10 children, including a nice gift for the birthday boy or girl. The result: a wonderful initiative that relieves children and gives them a sense of belonging.

Children's Party Foundation

Children living in poverty are unable to host a children's party. Therefore, Children's Party Foundation offers these children a day to remember by providing outdoor parties so that both the child and parents can have a carefree time. Important themes for Children's Party Foundation's children's parties are sports, culture, nature and technology. Among other things, the children are given the opportunity to play games together, make crafts and play soccer. Of course, a children's party is not complete without a cake and gift for the birthday boy or girl. That too is arranged by the foundation, so that the party is complete and the children can enjoy their birthday laughing in the center of attention!  

The Holiday Bank

Family vacations are also not a given. Although an important factor, this is not only related to financial resources. In fact, these family situations are often accompanied by living in stress, social isolation and/or illness. Therefore, it is not only about being able to go on vacation, but also about being able to go on vacation carefree. The Vacation Bank provides these carefree vacations by offering a vacation week at a beautiful and recreational location in the Netherlands. This gives the children new energy and a wonderful experience to share with their friends.
