All appointments have an evaluation time. This allows us to discuss what is working and what is not.

Introductory meeting

Description

Once we receive an application, we invite the student and his parent(s)/guardian(s) for an introductory meeting. For applications of MBO, HBO, and university student their parent(s)/guardian(s) do not need to attend the intake.

During the introductory meeting, possibilities are discussed and there is the opportunity to ask questions. The meeting will be led by our managing student. In addition, the assigned tutor will be present. The goal is to get acquainted and discuss the educational support process.

The introductory meeting takes approximately 15 minutes and can take place either online or in person. Throughout the conversation, our managing-student draws up an Action Plan for the educational support process in which we agree upon subjects, hours and duration of the support. Subsequently, a trial lesson can be scheduled. If needed, we adapt the Action Plan after the trial lesson.

Trial lesson

Description

During the trial lesson, the tutor examines what needs to be done, for instance preparing an upcoming exam. Based on this, the lesson structured and follow-up sessions are scheduled.

It is important that both the tutor and student feel confident about the support process. After the trial lesson, the managing-student inquires about this. They discuss the trial lesson with the tutor and asks the student and/or the parent(s)/guardian(s) about their thoughts. This is when the student and/or parent(s)/guardian(s) decide whether the educational suppurt will be continued in accordance with the Action Plan.

If the trial lesson is a success, the student can be registered for our support services. The trial lesson will then be charged as a regular lesson. If the trial lesson was not successful, this lesson and the next one are at our expense.

Educational support

Description

If the trial lesson was successful and the student is enrolled, the support starts according to the Action Plan. During the support process the student and tutor stay in touch via WhatsApp.

The tutor creates a lesson report of each session. The managing-student checks these weekly and grants access to the student and/or parent(s)/guardian(s). When dealing with primary or high school students, the managing-student also maintains contact with parents and school.

Evaluation

Description

The educational support process is evaluated regularly. At the end of a course appointment term, an evaluation meeting is scheduled. Of course, it is also possible to evaluate in the meantime.

For high school students in their final year, we offer an additional evaluation meeting between January and March to discuss the preparation for the final exam.

End of our services

Description

The educational support process can end in several ways. For instance, once a course agreement ends, you can decide to finalize the support process. In that case, there is simply no new appointment. It is also possible to terminate in accordance with our general conditions. Of course, our support finishes automatically when the student's education is completed.
