Why it's important to get your tests right before Christmas.

A quarter of the school year is over and the first half is also almost over. Christmas is approaching! Many a dean and mentor (and us!) has passed it along to students and parents: make sure you get your tests right before Christmas. But why really?

Averages remain averages

In the end, it's all about averages. You get grades on tests throughout the year, and at the end of the year, they look at whether your averages are good enough to move on to the next year or pass your grade level. So you can't get around the fact that the grades for the whole year matter. It's not true in every case, but every grade counts and takes you one step closer or farther from the correct average. After all, an average remains an average. Therefore, you do well to calculate what grades you need to get the right average! We often help students with this, as this can sometimes be quite tricky. Homework help is regularly used for this. We map out your subjects, determine a strategy and see if you stick to it!

Peace of mind

Good grades in the first half of the school year give you peace of mind. For example, you have already achieved some successes by scoring high grades or avoiding expected failing grades. This gives you self-confidence! Your thoughts and feelings have a lot of influence on your performance, so this is nice. The opposite is also true. Did you get an imperfect grade? Whether expected or unexpected, that doesn't feel good and hurts your self-confidence. Afraid you won't do well on the final tests of 2022? Contact us and get help from our student teachers. We will work with you to figure out what suits you best!

Final exams

Final exam candidates don't have long after Christmas. They often have one to two more test weeks and then that's it. Not so many chances left to improve grades before the final exam. Also consider that time goes incredibly fast after Christmas. Profile papers have to be finished, the oral examinations are just around the corner and you also have to choose a new study or training program. Very overwhelming! Before you know it, it will be April 2023. There's not much you can do about this, because no matter how well you're doing; the second half of the graduation year is tough. But, how you're going to experience this is definitely determined by your grades. A list with solid A's is less stressful than a list with failing grades for which you still have to score well in the coming test weeks and the final exam. Especially if your new study or training program demands certain grades... However, you don't have to do it alone. We will gladly help you! With our tutoring and exam training we can boost your grades.
