Are you also so tired after a day of school?

Many students come home dead tired. This is true not only for young students, but also for students. If I have attended college until 6 p.m. on Monday, I also fall asleep upright when I get home. What is the best way to deal with this?

Immediate sleep!

If you are really tired, when you get home from school your body says: hup, sleep right away. In principle, good advice. In fact, it is important to listen to your body. If you are hungry, eat something. If you're tired, you go to sleep. What's tricky about sleeping during the day, however, are the effects on your sleep. By sleeping during the day, your body experiences less pressure to sleep in the evening. As a result, you feel awake. Not so convenient, because you probably have to get up early again the next day... However, it's not that a daytime nap directly ruins your sleep. A nap around 3 p.m. is not really a problem, but the later it gets, the more likely you will be awake until late at night. So watch the time carefully before you fall asleep exhausted on the couch!

Coffee?

If you still have a lot to do in the evening, coming home from your classes dead tired is the last thing you want. It might occur to you to solve this with a cup of coffee. Not a bad idea, but I would think twice about it. This too can ruin your sleep. Caffeine does not make you feel tired for a while. In fact, you may even feel very energetic. The downside is that this can last quite a few hours. The peak of caffeine in your body is 1.5 hours after drinking, but it can take 4 to 6 hours for it to be completely out of your system. So not so convenient if you drink this at 6 p.m. after college and want to go to bed at 10 p.m. (I speak from experience). So it is okey to drink a cup of coffee when you come home dead tired from your classes, but I would not do this after 6 p.m.. After all, then it will be a short night....

Take your rest.

Sometimes it's good to just leave the day with it. You're tired, had a busy day and just want to hit the sack. Heartily understandable! Take your rest for the rest of the day. The rest will come later! If you plan well for your homework and tests, this doesn't have to be a problem. Is this a problem? Then you've come to the right place. Our student teachers can help you plan your homework and tests. It is also possible that you are so tired during class that you do not understand the subject matter.
