Eventful school years and progress.
2022, how quickly you flew by. It feels like it wasn't long ago that I was wishing my family, friends and relations the best for 2022. Somehow a good sign, because "time flies when you are having fun. A fun year it was, especially for Studied.
Eventful school years
Although school year 2021/2022 started out weak, this was doubly made up for in 2022. Due to the use of the extra funds for schools to address coronal delays (NPO funds), the number of students taking classes with us declined sharply. A painful trend that unfortunately little could be done about. However, that trend stopped in January 2022. The number of applications went up again and eventually as many students as normal went to the final exams and final test week under our guidance. There is always room for improvement, of course, but given the mediocre first half of the school year, school year 2021/2022 ended strongly! This fantastic trend continued at the start of school year 2022/2023. This was not immediately obvious, because after reading that the remaining NPO funds could still be used in this school year I held my heart. So, over the summer, preparations were made for (once again) a tough start to the school year. But, nothing could be further from the truth; the storm stayed away! And the sails remained hoisted, so the wind of the continuing trend was well caught. With a good number of students of various levels, school year 2022/2023 started strong. We can close 2022 satisfied, and that is good. So we finally finished the previous school year well and started the current school year well.
Year of progress
The hit of school year 2021/2022 was solid, but it also offered perspective. Areas of improvement for Studied were identified, prepared and implemented. One important one was our offerings. Although our presentation focused on high school students, we had been helping students of various grade levels for years. In addition, our website and brochure showed only tutoring, but we also did homework help, exam training and exam practice. We added all the work that was not yet a formal part of our offerings. And with success! So we started school year 2022/2023 strong with a good number of students for Primary education, Secondary education, MBO, HBO, university and language education. It's great to see how this relatively small change has caught on. It also offers many new opportunities, such as our collaboration with Learn4Life and Skills Coaching Academy. Because of these developments, 2022 was a year of progress, and we look forward to continuing that trend in 2023!
