More customization through subject agreements and evaluation interviews
We strive to match our tutoring as closely as possible to the needs of our tutoring kids. Holiday appointments and evaluation interviews will help us do this this year. You can read more about this in this article.
Trade agreements provide clarity and flexibility. But what is a course agreement? A subject appointment is basically a teaching agreement. It is an agreement between the parents, student, Tutor and us. This agreement specifies the minimum and maximum number of hours per week for a subject. For example, a minimum of 1 hour and a maximum of 3 hours of economics per week. This ensures that the student receives at least the minimum number of hours of guidance he/she needs. In addition, the Tutor has the option to schedule more hours of tutoring if the student needs it. The subject appointment is monitored on a monthly basis. This means that hours can be shifted within the month to ultimately end up between the minimum and maximum number of hours. Thus, vacations and test weeks are not a problem!
Evaluation interviews are an important link in the counseling process. It goes against the needs of the high school student to leave a subject appointment unchanged indefinitely. In fact, the needs of the high school student are constantly changing. Therefore, an evaluation meeting is attached to each subject appointment. A subject appointment has a duration that is determined when the appointment is made, for example 6 weeks. By linking this duration to the publication of grades or other important moments, an evaluation can be made at the right time. During the evaluation meeting we look together at what is working and what is not working for the appointment in question; the appointment can be extended, changed or terminated. Incidentally, this does not mean that a meeting is always scheduled. We offer the possibility, but sometimes a phone call or message exchange can suffice. The evaluation meetings are a valuable addition to the counseling process, this way our counseling is even more in line with the needs of the student.
