It feels weird writing this article. Five years ago, I started Studied with the ambition to build a scalable business formula that is not only lucrative, but also socially valuable. I thought it would be fun to look back on this adventure through this blog.

We are participating in the campaign “On the way to the bike exam” in cooperation with the ANWB and TeamAlert. Schools in the municipality of Maastricht receive a free teaching guide to prepare students for the bicycle exam and prevent traffic accidents. A valuable campaign with a future perspective.

This week, I spoke to a different Sarah. In addition to Sarah Ewals, we also have a number of student teachers with the same name working with us. Some with “h” and some without. In this case, I spoke to Sarah Huizenga. She talks about her life as a medical student who practices top sport at M.S.R.V. Saurus and teaches with us.

Denise Olivers from Learn4Life gave our student teachers educational and enthusiastic training about autism. Indeed, students with a diagnosis or behavioral characteristics of autism often need guidance with their schoolwork. But, how can you best support these students?

Unfortunately, our society still has child poverty. I am glad that, with our participation in the Promising Child campaign, we are supporting the Children of the Food Bank Foundation, the Children's Party Foundation and De Vakantiebank.

Sofie has been teaching at Studied for 2.5 years now. She is doing this in addition to her master's degree in Medicine at Maastricht University, for which she is currently doing internships. In conversation with me, Sofie talks about her time with us, shares some tips for students and explains how to combine her lessons with all her activities.

Abel received a number of questions from me about his work as a student lecturer with us. For a year now, he has been coaching students in the beta courses, mathematics A and B. He explains that he likes to make the abstract concepts of chemistry understandable and that it is perfect for him to teach with us while studying.

I asked Sarah a few questions about her time with us as a student lecturer. She supervises various students of different levels, and that works well. For example, she talks about her interest in the subjects she teaches, the flexibility of her lessons and how she helps her students move forward.
