Personal data

Studied processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself:

First and last name.
Gender.
Date of birth.
Address details.
Telephone number.
Email address.
Location data.
Data about your activities on our website.
List of customer contact details via an app.
Internet browser and device type.
Bank account number.
Citizen Service Number (BSN).

Special and/or sensitive personal data

Studied processes the following special and/or sensitive personal data about you:

Personal data of individuals under the age of 16.

Our website and/or service does not intend to collect personal data about website visitors who are under 16 years old unless they have permission from a parent or guardian. However, we cannot verify the age of a visitor. Therefore, we advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data from being collected about children without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal data about a minor without such consent, please contact us at b.jennissen@studied.nl, and we will delete this information.

Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data

Studied processes your personal data for the following purposes:

Handling your payment.
Sending our newsletter and/or advertising brochure.
To be able to call or email you if necessary to carry out our services.
To inform you about changes to our services and products.
To offer you the possibility to create an account.
To deliver goods and services to you.
Studied also processes data if we are legally obliged to do so, such as data required for our tax return.

Automated decision-making

Studied does not use automated decision-making that could have (significant) consequences for individuals.

Retention of personal data

Studied does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following four categories of personal data.

The data of applicants is retained for at least until the end of the application process, meaning the decision to hire or reject, and for a maximum of 10 years after this point.
The data of employees is retained for at least until the end of the employment relationship and for a maximum of 10 years after this point.
The data of customers and service recipients is retained for at least until the end of the customer relationship, which applies if no invoice has been sent to this customer for more than 5 years and all outstanding invoices have been paid, and for a maximum of 10 years after this point.
The data of other relations is retained for a maximum of 10 years.

Sharing personal data

Studied does not sell your personal data to third parties. Studied only shares your data with third parties for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We do this only with your explicit consent.

Studied uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies.

You have the right to view, correct, or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself via the personal settings of your account. Additionally, you have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your data by our company, and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organisation specified by you.

If you wish to invoke your right to object and/or right to data portability or if you have other questions/comments about data processing, please send a specified request to b.jennissen@studied.nl.

To ensure that the access request has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identity document with the request. In this copy, please black out your photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. Studied will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks at the latest.

Securing personal data

Studied takes the protection of your personal data seriously and implements appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure, and unauthorised modification.
