Why it's important to get the keys right before Christmas

Why it's important to get the keys right before Christmas

A quarter of the school year is over and the first half is almost over. Christmas is approaching! Many a dean and mentor (and us!) has given it to students and parents: make sure you do the tests correctly before Christmas. But why, really?

Averages remain averages.

Ultimately, it's about averages. You get grades for tests throughout the year and at the end of the year, it will be checked whether your averages are good enough to advance to the next year or pass your level. So you can't ignore the fact that the figures for the whole year matter. It's not always the case, but every grade counts and takes you one step closer or further from the correct average. After all, an average remains an average. That's why you'd do well to calculate which figures you need to get the correct average! We often help students with this, because this can sometimes be quite difficult. Homework guidance is regularly used for this purpose. We map out your courses, determine a strategy and see if you stick to it!

Rest in your head.

Good grades in the first half of the school year give peace of mind. For example, you have already achieved a number of successes by scoring high grades or preventing expected failures. That gives confidence! Your thoughts and feelings have a lot of influence on your performance, so this is a bonus. The opposite is also true. Did you fail? Whether they are expected or unexpected, that does not feel good and affects your self-confidence. Afraid you won't pass the final tests of 2022? Contact us and get help from our student teachers. Then together we will ensure that you complete the first half of this school year properly! This can be done with homework guidance, tutoring or already exam training. We will work with you to find out what suits you best!

Final exams.

Graduation candidates don't have long after Christmas. They often have one to two more weeks of tests and that's it. Not so many more chances to improve grades before the final exam. Also keep in mind that time goes incredibly fast after Christmas. Profile papers have to be completed, the oral exams are around the corner and you also have to choose a new course of study or course. Very overwhelming! Before you know it, it's April 2023. There's not much you can do about it, no matter how good you're in; the second half of the graduation year is tough. However, how you will experience this is definitely determined by your numbers. A list of solid passes is less stressful than a list of deficiencies that you will still have to score well for in the coming test weeks and the final exam. Especially if your new study or course demands certain grades... However, you don't have to do it alone. We'd love to help you! With our tutoring and exam training, we can boost your grades.
