Are you also so tired after a day of school?
Many students come home tired. This not only applies to young students, but also to students. If I have taken classes until 6 pm on Monday, I also fall asleep when I get home. What is the best way to deal with this?
Sleep right away?!
If you're really tired, when you get home from school, your body says: go to sleep right away. In principle, good advice. After all, it is important to listen to your body. When you're hungry, eat something. When you are tired, go to sleep. What is difficult about sleeping during the day, however, are the consequences for your night's sleep. By sleeping during the day, your body experiences less pressure to sleep in the evening. So you feel awake. Not so convenient, because you'll probably have to get up early the next day... However, a nap during the day doesn't immediately ruin your night's sleep. Napping around 3 pm isn't really a problem, but the later it gets, the more likely you are to be up late at night. So check what time it is before you fall asleep on the couch exhausted!
Coffee?
If you still have a lot to do in the evening, the last thing you're waiting for is coming home exhausted from your classes. It may then come to you to solve this with a cup of coffee. Not a bad idea, but I would still think about that. This can also ruin your night's sleep. This is because caffeine ensures that you don't feel tired for a while. In fact, you may even feel very energetic. The disadvantage of this is that it can take quite a few hours. The peak of caffeine in your body is 1.5 hours after drinking, but it can take 4 to 6 hours before it is completely out of your system. So not so convenient if you drink this at 6 pm after your lecture and want to go to bed at 10 pm (I'm speaking from experience). So it's okay to have a cup of coffee when you come home tired from your classes, but I wouldn't do this after 6 p.m. Because then it will be a short night...
Take a rest.
Sometimes it's good to just leave the day at it. You're tired, you've had a busy day and just want to spice things up. Very understandable! Take a rest for the rest of the day, the rest will come later! If you plan well for your homework and tests, this shouldn't be a problem at all. Is this really a problem? What is also possible is that you are so tired during the lessons that you do not understand the subject content. You may then have to skip that nap or cup of coffee after dinner.
